I saw him two nights later… in New Haven.  It was beyond brilliant + we also had a few assholes amidst our crowd. Wonder what that’s about.

Jeff Mangum made a scary face at BAM, and Stephen Colbert was there to see it.

Fun Fact of the Day: And by “fun” I mean STOP SOPA.
[@skulled / pleatedjeans.]

We’re 100% against SOPA but this actually seems pretty fair.

Oh dear. Yeah. Lets stop this thing from happening.

A reminder to everyone: Christmas is a time for giving, but be sure to know who you give your money to.

This is very tough. I buy EVERYTHING secondhand (except pants, which I buy new about once a year). 95% of my wardrobe.
I guess, even with this, I’m having trouble putting them on my serious blacklist. I’ve shopped there since I was very little. I appreciate the very cold Santa smiling and ringing his bell and trying his darn’dest. I appreciate what they do. I appreciate the environmental and social impact of recycling clothing. I appreciate the jobs they give to people in need.
I guess I just wonder about whether “wrong” is weighted. Take Walmart or McDonalds. Even for smart political hippies, there exist rare occasions (if few and far between) when one of those places is near necessary (flat tire, hour 13 of a roadtrip in the middle of nowhere). I guess I wonder, which is worse: the occasional sneaky Walmart shopping, or the decision to buy a bit more regularly from a company that is horribly discriminatory, but does a lot of good in other ways…
I guess I’m wondering, can I get away with shopping there, if I graffiti rainbows in the changing rooms? If I make-out with my girlfriend in the shoe isle and wink suggestively at the cashier? Or should I just get used to the idea of “liberating” more clothing?
(Now I really want to do all of those things even if I don’t buy anything ;)
Whats a bisexual thrift girl to do?
Probably just Goodwill it up until I can figure it out.

I just found this bag of weed on the sidewalk outside the VICE office. The sticker on the front reads, “Sincerely, the 99%.” Are these people doling out free drugs now? If so, I have a feeling that The Movement is about to attract a lot of people who, until now, didn’t “really care, man.
Weed Are The 99%

BRILLIANT. Two of my favorite causes.
